On Saturday, 11th October 2025, Petford Group were proud sponsors of a local charity fundraising evening organised by Kris Haines and family. It was a genuinely inspiring community event in support of two remarkable causes: the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and the Oswestry Spinal Unit at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital.
The night took place at Parkes Hall Social Club and saw the local community come together for an evening of celebration, generosity and shared purpose. The room sparkled with a “Let’s Party” backdrop, a lively raffle and auction prizes, and plenty of laughter and goodwill.
Thanks to the incredible support from attendees and local businesses, the event raised an impressive £3,300.27; a figure that reflects the huge commitment and consideration of everyone involved.
These funds will be split between the Spinal Injuries Association, a national charity offering essential advice, advocacy and emotional support to those affected by spinal cord injuries, and the Oswestry Spinal Unit, where Kris himself underwent life-changing rehabilitation in 2023.
In his letter of thanks, Kris shared his appreciation with all supporters:
“Without these wonderful organisations, I would not have recovered as much as I have. This was only possible thanks to the generous support of people and companies like Petford Group.”
Petford Group were delighted to contribute to such a meaningful cause. The event’s success was made possible through a collective effort from many generous sponsors and partners, including West Bromwich Albion, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Halfpenny Green Wine Estate, The Roe Deer, and numerous others who donated prizes, time and energy to make the evening one to remember.
As a company, Petford Group have always placed strong emphasis on community engagement and giving back. Whether it’s through charity initiatives, sponsorships, or educational partnerships, Petford’s team is committed to supporting projects that improve lives, create opportunity, and build stronger communities.
The Haines family are already planning next year’s fundraiser, and Petford Group are proud to be among those who will continue to show their support. Events like this serve as a reminder that when businesses and individuals come together, the results can have a lasting and positive impact.
We want to congratulate Kris and his family for organising such a brilliant evening, and to everyone who helped raise funds for these two deserving organisations.
